Janice Kirsh paints in the Plein Air throughout the East Coast ranging from industrial areas to waterfront scenes and farmland. She also travels to other destinations to paint such as Maine, Oregon, Ireland, Adirondacks, NYC, and wherever she is inspired.  Janice’s paintings of landscapes and what captures her artistic eye has a feeling of atmospheric light, color and textures. Her work has a unique loose painterly style that makes her paintings noticeable to the viewer. Although trained in classical realism in Painting and drawing her work demonstrates skills in important areas but also reflects a loose and impressionistic style that makes her art original, appealing and worth collecting. Her strokes are painterly, her Pallet is filled with color and is luminous. She has won several prestigious awards such as best in show,Annapolis 2011 and was also one of a select few artists to be included in a book by Gary Pendleton, 100 Plein Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic.
